Combining his roots in Southern Hip Hop, R&B, Gospel, Soul and Funk, Shylo addresses topics of sexuality, love and masculinity amidst a personal journey of growth. Known as SHY, Chad grew up singing in church and began performing at the age of 7. At home, Shy endured an often tumultuous childhood. Music served as an outlet for the aspiring artist who idolized James Brown, Prince, Freddie Mercury, Al Green, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. Regularly winning talent competitions and obtaining lead roles in school plays, his ability to play snare and bass led him to join the band further cementing his roots and passion for music.
